A sick note requires medical assessment. We consider the illness and the demands of your work. Tell us about symptoms, when they began and your occupation. The necessary examination and period of certification are decided individually.
If medical care is needed at home, we assess eligibility for home nursing.

Home nursing can support medical treatment when certain measures are necessary at home. These may include wound care, administration of prescribed medication and other treatment-related nursing measures. The type, frequency and duration depend on medical need.
We assess the need for specialist examination and issue a referral when medically indicated.

A referral supports cooperation between the GP practice and other specialties. It includes the medical question and relevant information so the receiving practice can understand the reason. Whether a referral is required and which specialty is appropriate depend on your concern.

Please tell us the purpose of the examination and bring the required forms. We discuss the scope of the examination, who is responsible and any costs in advance. A certificate requires an appropriate medical examination.
Medically necessary services are provided according to the applicable coverage rules. Other certificates, for example for sport, travel, examinations or insurance, are not automatically covered by statutory insurance. We discuss any examinations and private charges in advance.
