Health check-up

We advise you about the health examinations available to you and discuss your personal risk factors.

What to expect

At your check-up, we discuss your medical history, current symptoms and personal risk factors. The examinations available depend on your age, circumstances and applicable entitlements. We review the results together and discuss possible next steps.

Why preventive care matters

High blood pressure, raised blood glucose and other health risks often go unnoticed at first. A health examination aims to identify these signs early. We also discuss physical activity, nutrition, stress and your vaccination status, helping you plan personal steps to protect your health.

Check-ups from age 35 and for younger adults

People with statutory health insurance can have one check-up between ages 18 and 34, and one every three years from age 35. From 35, it includes urine testing and blood glucose and cholesterol measurements; younger adults receive laboratory tests where there are relevant risks. A one-off hepatitis B and C screening is also available from age 35. Further examinations depend on the medical question. Federal Joint Committee information about health check-ups
