Early detection and informed decisions
Screening is intended for people who do not yet have relevant symptoms. It aims to detect certain conditions at an earlier stage. However, it may also produce unclear findings that require further assessment. We therefore discuss benefits and limitations together.
Which examinations may be suitable?
Skin cancer screening checks the skin for unusual changes. Cancer screening for men includes the examinations available according to age and entitlement; a PSA test is not automatically included. Men aged 65 and over can have a one-off ultrasound screening of the abdominal aorta. We discuss which options are appropriate for you.
