24-hour blood pressure monitoring

Recording blood pressure during everyday life over 24 hours.

What to expect

A portable device measures your blood pressure repeatedly during the day and night. We explain how to use it and review the recording with you afterwards.

Recording blood pressure in everyday life

Blood pressure changes throughout the day and may differ at the practice and at home. Multiple measurements during the day and night give a clearer picture than a single reading. Monitoring can also help assess ongoing treatment.

Your daily routine helps explain the results

You wear a small recording device with an upper-arm cuff that inflates automatically at intervals. A diary of activities, sleep, medication and symptoms helps interpretation. We explain what to do during measurements and how to protect the device. Afterwards, we discuss average values and unusual periods.

Before your appointment

Please bring existing medical reports and an up-to-date medication list. We discuss any special preparation, the exact scope and possible costs when arranging your appointment.
